breakaway and ande are best for long rods ... breakaway is good for short rods too but I like ande for short rods as the abrasion strength is a lot better ... get ande all scuffed up and it's still pretty strong ... I've caught fish at the dam when the sluice gate was running and rubbed ande on that retainer wall a bunch of times and it was all scuffed up but still reeled fish in but ya do that on big game and it's toast ... I like breakaway best of all but been using a little big game lately and it's been doing alright but ya don't need much for boat rods when ya got no debris in the water and you're not casting a long ways ... 80 yds max then big game holds up well if you oversize ... I wouldn't use 20 lb big game at all ... I normally use 30 at least but that drops casting distance somewhat. I also just use it to the swivel and then tie 50 lb big game on the swivel and tie my rigs up with the 50 lb ... that way most of the abuse is absorbed by the 50 lb
